#239161 If your like me you may have some confusion about weights because of all the random things you hear people say, so i did research. Heres the weights i was able to find on our cars. U.S. only, if you have some info on other ones let me know and ill add it.

This is in lbs. of course.

Of course engine swaps ect will change the weight of the car. So dont go thinking a light car with an 80hp motor is the best thing to get for a swap. It may or may not be depending.

#239166 I often see people using curb weight+cargo weight as the cars total weight. For instance i always hear since owning one that del sols are much heavier than other egs. That they weigh like 2800 lbs. But that is just people looking at the door sticker not realizing that is total capacity including the weight of the car. Hopefully this clears some of that up. Its also fun to see how weight does or doesnt vary between models and years.

For instance my 95 ex sedan that just got wrecked is apparently the heaviest model/year and that my new del sol is the lightest model/year.

Nice, id love to get my car weighed some time. My rims are pretty light too. I might just weigh them and see how light they are compaired to factory steelies.

#239333 2178 is not bad, although i wanna get it under 2000lbs. i wonder how much it weighs with a b16 and a completely stripped interior with no ps and ac. i was thinking of trimming the inside part of the dash, cuz that shit is pretty heavy.

#239341 Chart is missing some data but good info none the less.

Its always funny to see the look on my friends faces when I tell them my Tiny Delsol Si weights more then my DX Sedan. Only 139lbs but still, Well stock on Stock.

i stripped my dash this weekend and lost 16.8 lbs, mind you i trimmed alot of the dash away too to save the additional wieght..

#259151 The scale I used was right outside a rock quarry. Most truck stops will have scales too. It should be pretty accurate because it weighed me within 7 pounds of my weight.

#259183 that chart is just a rough estimate if you ask me you cant really use it to determine the weight of your car. it doesn't have enough details like factory options, auto/manual, power steering or not, ac or not, ect.

to me the only way to go is to get on a scale like above. trucks stops have them and even some junkyards have them like right at the entrance. that way you can get a very accurate number for your car that accounts for fuel, driver, weight reduction or anything else you may have done to your car :thumb:
