Hatch/Fuel Door Release Lever Part Number
Posted: Mon Sep 19, 2011 3:18 amAs the title says, I'm trying to find out the Honda part number for the hatch/fuel door release lever. Mine has always been a real PITA to operate, but it's recently gotten so bad that I had to tie a zip-tie around the fuel door release in order to pull the SOB up.
I had a look at the lever assembly today and discovered that it's pretty much transformed into a ball of rust, I can only guess that lots of rain recently has increased the rusting process.
I found this here (http://tinyurl.com/3kbl3yw) but that seems to be rusted almost as bad as mine and I'm wondering if it's worth trying to get it new. Could always go to a junkyard but the closest one to me that's likely to have a Civic is a 2-hour round trip.
I tried a few parts lookup sites but couldn't find anything promising. Any ideas?
