Cluster lights out

Hey guys I just picked up my 92 eg hatch about a month or two ago and I have been very happy with it. It is a dx model but the person before me swapped it with a d16z6 and changed the cluster to an ex/si one with a tach. The lights were working but all of a sudden they don't come on anymore, wondering what I can do to fix it.

tap on the dimmer switch, seems that they go bad alot lol.. i bypassed my dimmer switch cause my lights would flicker all the time.

Hmm, maybe I should try changing the dimmer switch before I take the cluster out? And how did you bypass the switch?

Pull the switch out and jump the red wire to the black wire. Not the red with black stripe. Then turn on the lights and see if they work. If the do u can replace the switch or leave it jumped and tape it up

Thanks, I pulled the dimmer switch out and tapped it on the dash a few times, plugged it back in and it works now

if they go out again, you can tap on it without pulling it out i had to do it everyday
so i just bypassed it lol
