#287784 I buy mine off of Ebay. I have about 5 blanks. You can go to honda and they'll but you one of the OEM keys for about $15 and it works awesome. It's not like some hardware store cut that only works half the time.

#287788 Yea i was going to try honda tomorrow first. I tried home depot and i might as well use a screw driver for my locks and ignition

#287792 Yeah, it's nice having a REAL key for your car. I cannot stand the "hardware store specials" Hahaha

I got locked out of my house for about 8 hours one time, so I don't get spares at hardware stores anymore....

#287796 Yea they have a auto cutter and the blank they used is too long. So i have to put the key in almost all the way to use it. Why cant people just hold onto their keys damn it.

#288271 You don't need the title, just the registration and ID matching name/address.
They will cut it for you based off the VIN.

Worst case, if the cutter is broken (99% of the time at my dealer), they will give you a code and send you off to a local locksmith that they trust. I have had keys cut by the dealer and the locksmith. both worked flawlessly.

Also, I like the Accord/CRV key over the civic key. it has more surface area.

#288327 just fyi last time i went to get keys made for my 1992 civic they said the bubble was around 1994 or so. which means im fucked if i ever lose the keys to my crx etc also the little numbers on top the 4 digit or whatever those numbers are golden write them down before they wear away or then your really screwed if you lose your key because they told me the bubble may be closing on the civics etc but thats just because our database can only hold so much but if you have that number they should be able to make your key oem exact fit without a spare key....

anywho yea go to honda and make sure you have some form of ownership that tells them you own the car etc

its probably different in your state then, my local honda dealer asks for the title for the master key.
