#302618 When doing a brake line tuck say i was to put the proportioning valve under the passenger fender, and have the brake lines come out from there. would that create a problem by having one brake line side longer than another? for example the drivers side rear brake line would be longer than the rest? or will the pressure carry out through out the whole thing evenly? any help would greatly be appreciated. I've read other sites and it said to put it under the dash, but i'd really hate to do that because if you have a leak you'd have to pull out the whole dash just to do that.
also does anyone have any ideas how to do the clutch line tuck? thanks. :woot:

#302640 Not sure that putting the prop valve in a fender well where it can be exposed to elements would be a good idea. or where it could leak onto a tire since it is oil based fluid. And how would you run the line or lines from the MC to the prop valve? you going to run them inside the interior side of the firewall and then out to the fender. Why not just mount it under the dash and keep all the lines simple and clean.

As far as a clutch line tuck you can get lines from chasebays or rywire that just run from the clutch master to the clutch slave that keeps it tucked up with the motor.

#302662 i want to run them through the fire wall and back out. but i gave the fender as an example i just dont want to have any leaks then i'll have to take the dashboard off just to service it. plus im hoping to keep my airbags, ac and other stuff i already relocated my fuse box but i was in an accident so i'll be trying to do a rhd conversion
do you have any other ideas of where i can possibly put the splitter thingy (idk what its called)
thanks.

#302669 The different length lines shouldn't matter. If you think about it, it is just the fluid inside the lines that is moving when you press the pedal. Lets say you have a line with fluid inside, one like is 12" long and the other is 24" long. When you press the brake, the pressure is divided by the proportioning valve so that each line gets equal pressure. Then the fluid in each line will be forced to 'move' lets say 1/2" down the line. ( I know move might not be the correct term, but I'm no engineer) No matter the line length, the same amount of fluid would be moved through the lines assuming there are no air bubbles. The fluid going into the line will always equal the fluid coming out of the line.

#302681 You can still have all your climate control and mount it right under the dash. Most people put it right on top of or in front of the SRS control unit which is on the exhaust hump. It has a black plastic cover on it. which keeps all the lines easy to get to and just as easy to run out to the front and tack on to the factory rear lines.

#302742 you can also go in then under the car .. ive seen that done easy to get to.. and for the clutch line i went right into the fender and around thru the radiator support.
