I want a car with ABS, basically better braking capability and being in the U.K the amount of rain and rubbish weather we have, it's so easy to lock up the tyres while under heavy braking. I'm able to control the braking using the "pump" method however it will only work to a certain degree.
So my options are, sell up and buy an EP3 and do work on a K-series.
Buy an EG/EJ with ABS, as far as I know, they came with the d16z6/vti models etc..
My other issue is the anti roll bar's on the LSI coupe, they don't have any lol. to the best of my knowledge it will require new wishbones to cater for the ARB drop/end links on the front, I already have new trailing arms going on for the rear disc conversion so that will be catered for. but then I arise back to my initial issue with the ABS.
Putting this all aside, the option I was also thinking of was buying a EG/EJ with ABS...swapping the engine from my coupe into the new shell and swapping the D16 into my coupe as a daily run around and the B-series motor as my evening/weekend car.
Coupe = d16z6
2nd Car = B18c4
Any feedback would be much appreciated as I'm finding it difficult making a decision. I love my car, even though it's in it's first stages of modification. It's just an issue of safety in this damned weather.

yup it's one thing to go wrong eventually, but it does my head in, especially during late braking, the car just doesn't want to cooperate. and the ARB issue is just another thing. Ahh what to do?!?

I hate to thread jack but i am actually planning on deleting the abs in my eg hatch (1994 Si) and I was really just going to end up junking the abs stuff but if you wanted to do a trade or something thought im sure shippings not going ot be fun being as im in the states but yea just let me know id say keep your civic and just ad on abs or something like that
P.S. pretty much id just be sending you basic stuff such as prop valve brake booster complete. as well as the abs box and ecu to manage said abs. what youll need to get is something either off a integra or such that has abs and just swap it on i think id be work but yea i like toying around in this stuff.....
P.S.s if you dont want to have some headaces as im sure this is probaly only transportation id see if someone would want to do a straight up trade or trade plus cash this way your getting a car with abs and your not worrying about having to find another car for what you have to spend or have to spend time trying to sell your car.
thats my two cents

Too much hassle installing it dude. Need to change the CV joints and calipers I believe which is another expenditure and to install the ABS would be a nightmare also, especially routing the wiring through the body.
Keep your ABS if you can. I know a lot of people don't like it but it really does help and let's you concentrate on the better things of driving a quick civic

ive never locked up my car with my brakes. No mater what condition it was in. Ive even tried on several occations to do just that. I couldnt. I just have the GSR brakes up front and the stock discs in the back. You can tell when they are about to lock up, but i dont think its worth it to sell your car just to get one with abs.
Keep yours and learn where the lock up is and dont reach it.

Selling the car wasn't the first option I have to say, by next year the motor will be running a healthy 200 BHP+ and with fuel in the U.K being extortion, my options were to find an EJ or EG with ABS and basically swap the two motors. so in the coupe I would have a nice economical run around and the vehicle with ABS will host the "power motor" etc.
But any way, I think I'm gonna give the calipers a refurb instead see if that improves anything and clean up the braking system.
Thanks guys
