lifting spots

just bought a brand new 2 ton floor jack today and i love it. i was wondering were do you guys place the jack and the jack stands when lifting your civics

for the front, i put it under the rad support for the jack. the stands, if you look by your front tires just under your door hinges there are some solid supports put your jack stands there.

Yeah for jackstands, or if you're using a hoist, these are what you're looking for. There's four of them, these are the front ones.

look for torque boxs located behind front tires and in front of rear tires in the four corners....in the back i sometimes you the stock tow hook..

my jack dosnt lift that high. i just lift from the pinch welds. but let says i want to get the front end up and jack from the front lift spot. i can only get a jackstand under the driver side pinch weld.
should i use a 2x4 on the saddle of the jack to make it lift higher?
BTW im on stock suspension

Using wood on the saddle to make the jack higher is fine.
I have that problem due to my car being so low. I have to drive my car up on some custom ramps to be abe to fit a jack under it then lift the car. That allows the jackstands to be put under the car at their lowest setting. Then I have to put some 2x6's under the jack to the car up even more to get the jackstand higher.
The rear jack point is the towhook.
