DIY: Carbon Sheild

Project cost: $10.00 at home hardware!!

Ok first of we will look at a before picture...

....Eww carbon.

ok go to a plumbing store(home depot, kents, etc.. Pick up a Band-seal Coupler ...With these dementions.

Slide the rubber out, unscrew the bands all the way out. then slowly twist the band off the little weld..

try best not to bend the aluminum.

...Tada.

Like addictive said, this is a nice piece of aluminum, because of the curve.
:thumb:

1)So wrap the aluminum piece around the tip of your muffler.

2)Connect the to hose clamps together, to make a longer one.

3)Wrap those puppys around everything and tighten it up.

thats 6 day after a wash, i could leave it another 6 and it would be the same no more carbon. BUT I'm a clean freak so i have to wash it !
