anyone have experience with this...want to buy this now as im not sure if it will be available when my motor decides its time for a rebuild.

For 1800+ you could have a fairly well built bottom end. Pretty sure that uses cast pistons. If you're buying it for the name go ahead. But if you are looking for better performace there are much much better routes to go
