Iv got a D16A7(SOHC, 16V, 86kw/117hp, 139Nm/102lbft) and am looking for 150hp(110kw)@7000 and 130lbft(177Nm)@5150. At 1094kg(2407lb) this gives me 101kw(137hp) per and 162Nm(119lbft) per ton(kg). So i need to increase the power by 24kw(33hp) and torque by 38Nm(28lbft).
Is this possible from the motor and what can be done to get it as close to this as possible with out a mini me?
I want to get an international perspective on this, and what ya'll got as increases for the different mods ya'll did and prices to compare.

turbo kit.. ;)
and it made 272whp 214tq.. went a little over.. but it cost me around 3grand?
but realistically, a junkyard turbo kit can cost around 600 bucks and get you to where you want pretty fast.

I understand about the whole turbo thing and have had many guys suggest it but id like to stay NA and a NA setup u can progresively build unlike the turbo.
I need to change the exhaust any way, its got a raspy sound at about 3000rpm and it seems to be coming from the middle box. So i want to start off my build there.

Get some high compression pistons, an aftermarket cam, a decent header, a 2.25 ID free flowing exhaust system, a cold air intake, an aftermarket intake manifold, and some kind of engine management like FAST or a used AEM EMS. Then get it tuned on a dyno.

Well im looking at those figures at the fly not at the wheels and want to just do bolt ons and leave the engine stock.

OH you were just looking at FLY hp.
a nice Hytech header + Skunk2 intake manifold + intake and a better exhaust would probably get you were you need to be.

Ja im at university and cant afford a major setup and with the fuel price forever climbing...
What can i expect at the fly/wheels from an exhaust, header, CAI, chip/EMS, ignition timing, cam gears, cam?

D series man!! No Hy-tech for him!!
Those numbers wont be attainable with out tearing the motor apart and replacing the internals.

You're not going to get those numbers with bolt ons.
You want it all, you want it cheap, and you don't want to work for it. Hmm... Yeah.
Stare at your engine for a minute, then squeeze your eyelids real hard. Open them and see what you get.
