#302408 Hey guys, I'm planning to be converting a D15b7 auto to a manual using a D15b2 box [as I have a D15b2 manual donor car]

Now I understand most of the parts for the swap I will have from the donor car with the B2 box, but my main concern is the Auto to manual mount - Does this mean th chassis of the autos are slightly different or will the manual mount from the donor work, as well as the lower front torque mount?

I've searched and found this list of parts I'll need, I assumed the parts I've ticked I have with the conversion [I've not yet disassembled the donor car]

✓ Manual transmission from a 92-00 Civic
✓ Manual Starter from 92-00 Civic
✓ Clutch assembly
✓ Flywheel and Pilot Bearing
✓ Manual Flywheel bolts (longer than auto)
✓ Master Cylinder from a 92-95 Civic
✓ Slave Cylinder from 92-00 Civic
✓ Clutch Line (OEM hardline or Earl's braided stainless)
- Auto to Manual Conversion Passenger motor mount
- Manual lower front Torque Mount (mounts to transmission)
✓ Manual Rear mount from 92-95 Civic (auto rear bracket is the same as manual)
✓ Shifter & Shift Linkage from 92-95 (96-00?) Civic
- Bitch pin & linkage hardware
✓ Manual throttle cable (92-95)
✓ 1.9 Qt Manual Tranny Fluid
✓ Manual ECU

Now my other question - Is the bitchpin and both mounts able to be swapped over from my Hatch donor?

And If anyone can offer any tips and what not for doing the swap I'd greatly appreciate it. When I do the swap I'll try and do a DIY of it. :)

#302409 The bitch pin and other mounts ARE the same.
On the auto cars, honda positioned the bracket for the passenger tranny mount a couple of inches higher than on the manual cars. In the old days, people used the mount from the manual cars and wondered why their engine sat crooked. So they had to cut the bracket from the frame and re-weld it over a couple of inches. Then the conversion mount was invented. :thumb:

So yes the chassis are slightly different.

#302411 Nice, so I'll have basically everything bar the Auto manual mount from the donor car then :)

Quick thought - does the auto manual mount fit B series as well? Just making sure so i'm ready for the future lol

#302510 if you have a donor car it should be simple. i just did the swap. make shure u switch out the pilot bearing and throwout bearing with new ones when doing your clutch. run a new clutch and maybe a new flywheel if yours isnt too bad.

for the rear mount use your existing mount ( chasis specific . i learnt the hard way)

but use a manual tranny rubber mount inside of it.
