Shifter Linkage help!!

I just bought a 93 Hatch and It needs the shifter linkage replaced. I have the Linkage I just was wondering what the best way to replace it was. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ummm really all you do is unbolt it and i think its a 1/4in punch for the bitch pin the should probaly be your first task is hammering that thing out.

but its pretty straight forward just make sure to take your time....

I think it was an #8 punch that fit the bitch pin perfectly... but look around the garage, anything the right size should do.

The only difference is that in the first few pics where I had to drill out the spot welds to remove that panel below the auto shifter, you can ignore that step because EG's don't have that extra plate to remove. :thumb:

agreed, i've had to cut linkage off because of that fucking thing. :lol:

think we used like 6mm punch and a big hammer. took a couple swings.

i found a craftsman 1/4" extension is the PERFECT size to beat that bitch outta there :thumb:

but i'm assuming you already got it out by now...
