poping gears boooooo

Posted: Fri Jun 11, 2010 3:35 amif it pops out when you let off the throttle its most likely the dog teeth of your gears pushing ageist the shifting collor which holds it in gear, when you let off the throttle it changes the force on the gears and lets it push the collor away, pushing the transmission out of gear.
Transmission normally get in this shape becouse they where shifted to quickly at high rpms. I.E. Racing.
Not much short of replacing the gears to fix it. It will be an expensive fix, however when your done you will have a mint transmission.
If you buy a Transmission of craigslist, 99% of the time its been raced on or is Junk. I have learned this lesson the hardware to many times.
I bought a D Series transmission of craigslist and had this exact same problem. Learnt alot when rebuilding it.
