replacing the shifter

So ever since I did the h22 swap the shifter is sticky like there is no springs to it. also i notice the distance pretty long. Does anyone know how to go about replacing with a short throw or something better?

take apart you center councel. take off the shifter knob. pull the councel off then go under your car and loosen the bolts holding the shifter. then loosen the bolts on the transmission linkage and it should drop
