Yes the S20 is the z6 trans any other d- trans are going to be long gears which is great for highway but not great for much anything else.

1st gear:
3.250 39/12 ex/sol si (92-00)

2nd gear:
1.900 38/20 ex/si (92-95)
1.909 42/22 ex/sol si (96-00)

3rd gear:
1.250 35/28 ex/si (92-00)

4th gear:
0.909 30/33 dx/lx/hx/ex/si (92-00) also in 96-00 cx

5th gear:
0.750 36/27 ex/sol si (92-00)

Final drive:
4.250 68/16 ex/si (88-00) found in all d-series si's, and hydro EX's

lol, i doubt the .009 in 2nd makes much difference

All the autos have the same gearing... too long. You want to stay within the same OBD generation because of the electronic controls.

Look at the trans if there is a stamp that S20 or depending on your speed in 5th gear. if your at low rpm at 70 mph then DX if your at like close to 4k rpm then EX trans.

I can not remember what the code is for a DX off the top of my head right now.
