D15z1 dx trans 8lb fly wheel oem replacement clutch from car quest.
Clutch maybe 3 months old.

Today the car made a 30 mile trip perfect but when attempted to start it the car turned over but lunged forward. In all gears its not disengaging. Got the car home,

bled clutch no luck.
Changed master cylinder no luck
The fork is moving proper distance throw out bearing is in place. Clutch pedal feels good.

I'm not sure what else to check I fear the clutch disk has broken and wedged a piece of its self between disk and friction surface, or a pressure plate issue.

Anyone else had this issue? What did u find.

hmmm not good at all. You might have to pull the tranny and see what's happening in there. First pull off the inspection plate and see if there's any pieces of anything sitting in the bottom of the bell housing. That might tell you what you're in for.

definitely pull that inspection cover and see whats up. you might not find anything at all.

if you dont, youll probably have to pull the tranny and take a look.

whatever it is, it cant be good and even if it goes away it remains unsolved and could cost you more that a clutch if it comes back

So finally pulled the trans out to have a look. Trans is smooth and fine. The clutch was not so pretty. The installed clutch was a sprung clutch, one of the brad/studs that hold the various pieces together decided to let go. This caused the clutch springs and spring plates and all to seperate and remain bouncing around inside the pressure plate housing. Luckily it was considered a manufacture defect and they replaced the clutch and pressure plate. No damage was done to the flywheel.

glad to hear that, at least they replaced it under a manufacturer defect :thumb:
