Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there are any differences between an EG3 and an EG6 transmission.
I just got a 1995 EG3 and my gearbox is acting up. Trouble getting 1st and reverse.

So, as I plan to install a B18C engine in, I was wondering if I could send my EG3 transmission to Spoon for an overhaul. That is if the transmissions (EG3/EG6) are similar.

EG3 originally comes with a D series engines while the EG6 originally comes with B series engines.

so yes... there is a difference between the 2 transmissions.

Ok, thanks for the info.

Can one change that difference by switching the gear ratios or would it be just better to buy a used EG6 transmission ?

Theyre copletely different. B series and D series trannys have no interchangeable parts with each other besides the speed sensor..

Ok, thanks for the help ! I'll have to start searching for such a tranny now but I have some time before me.
