im trying to put on some ebrake handle on my dx but the outer housing is hard plastic-ish and made it hard to cut off with even a razor blade....any ideas on how to remove/cut this part out?....

something with a serrated blade or edge... an actual razor blade wont cut through....

what i did was i took a flathead screwdriver and a propain toruch and heated the screwdriver up and melted the plastic then took the screw driver and used it as a chissel and hit it with a hammer and worked it off.... kind of a caveman way of doing it but it worked

thanks guys for the awesome advice and replies....i ennded up using a cutsaw and jus "cut" thru the front housing and when its down to the metal part i jus "cut" a lil bit more then i use a screwdriver and wiggle it around ....not done yet but ill keep at it tomorrow...word of advice: pull handle up, i was sucha dumba55 and did it when it was down (disengaged ebrake)...

when i did mine i called my friend over and told him id give him 5 bucks. he had it off in like 30 seconds. takes a lil man streangth. i didnt give him 5 bucks tho.lol
