Is there a DIY to turn the switches (cruise control, defroster) to light up amber or a different color? I made my gauge cluster light up amber/red. So i want them to match.

*** DIY: Amber(or any color) Switches***

Materials:

Translucent plastic.
If you are Mexican like me this mod should be free. LOL
Go to your Grocery store and buy a pack of tortillas or carrots
depends on your color of choice.
Some of the light bulbs in your switch may be bad, so you can replace them from your Honda Dealer. about $3.50 Each

First remove the switches from your car, should be pretty easy.

Then pop off the cover. there are 4 tabs that need to be pulled up. not hard.

Image

Cut out a piece of the colored plastic.

Image

Then put the piece on the switch like this.

Image

then snap the top of the switch back on. make sure your piece covers the whole part.

Then just install in your car and you are done. I just realized that you can do this for your clock also!!!

I will post up a picture of final results tomorrow since my car battery is dead. LOL!

did you use all #74 bulbs? it appears both the other writeups require 5 #24 and three #74...just curious because i cant find any LED #24s off that website

For the gauges i used LED bulbs.
For the switchs and clock i used the red part of 3D glasses.
I tried the red plastic, but the colour isnt bright enough.Image

laugh if you like guys but an orange tictac case is by far the best way :thumb: you can cut a square and pop it in the switch cover(the one you unclip(4 clips))
