what you got so far is some pretty mean skills i mean you can weld, shape, fiberglass, paint etc you got a pretty good future as far as you and this car go

i respect what your doing cuz it what you like and not what others think

i have faith in you that you'll make this an actual conversion project and not some riced out fart canned machine of disappointment

#120170 i like how it looks with the stock integra front end,i would have just put a front lip,but thats just me. i can see your putting some hard work on this,props man and good luck with your goal.

#120192 hey thank you all,
chuko,
The stock front end will be used as the winter driver (stupid Michigan) so you will get to see it when its all done! but i felt that the summer arrangement should have something wild and special.
Dippin_eg,
LOL, its ok, i know alot of people dont care for body kits, but maybe its generational. I was in HS when the first fast and furious movie hit.. (i hated it because i was watching inital D and reading import tuner way before the jocks caught on) but i guess the custom or nothing mindset stuck. Difference with me is I will put way more money into a project than I have to get the right bits that work well together and isn’t totally annoying!
(my old Subaru, 3 body kits and a jdm sti wing, and 4 different color matched spray jobs later)

hatchie,
Thank you,
Im 27 (lots of time to practice) and am virtually 98% self taught (went to school for the welding certification). Ive made it a point to do every thing my self! the only things i send out are things i cant handle on my own (chemical dipping, powder coating big items[my oven is too small]). I just cant bring my self to do this professionally tho... Im afraid the job will rune the hobby for me... I would consider restoring and selling off cars when the economy turns around tho...
I did bank nicely off this car i did;

X2 should have kept the rotas and i say put the stock cover on and add a nice mugen lip or somthing. then you can lower it more :thumb:

yeah i dug the rotas too, but these were in much better condition (wheels not tires) and filled up the wheel wells better.... Also i think the gun metal and polished aluminum looks way better with the semi gloss black than the bronz.
ill get a brand spanking new set when the car is re-painted. (most likely solid 6 spoak 17" in back 16" in front.

I wish i could drop it more, but at my work we have 4 of those spiked speed bumps i have to cross every morning. As it is now the front lip is < 1" off the speed bumps... id scrape if i was any lower...
that and my driveway is steep for a sub. I scrape if i enter or leave the drive more than 10mph

i just cant get away from you can i??!!
yeah i should be able to fit them and tack them in with one visit, but it might require you to handel some of the body work on your end... (i forgot how long that crap actully takes!!)

speaking of body work...
I shot the front bumper and one fender semi gloss black to see how it would look... Im digging it. so i think after i get all my primer down and get the car blocked out ill hit it all up with some of that...
other than that i havent done much recently;
pulled the molding
sanded down all the old filler
hit every thing with some glazing putty
and fitted the new cf hood (looks great!)
