You REALLY don't want to see it, it's hideous and makes me cringe just thinking about it lol

Brake revamp started today!
Not gone quite according to plan if I'm honest but at least I've made a start...
Old discs off, retaining screws came out with some persuasion (a large hammer and an impact driver)
Shiny new front discs, the other front one is also on, as is one of the rear discs however...
Sheared bolt heads... fail. So I've got to pull the entire hub off and the ducting to grind the nut off and then try and punch the rest of the bolt through.
And an accidental snap of meself while holding the camera and rearranging the trailing arm lol
Hopefully get that LCA off tonight and then start dismantling the car tomorrow and swapping bits about.

Got the front finished today (sort of)
No stainless lines up front though
Bit of an issue with the old ones not wanting to come off, so gonna run the originals for now. When the rears are attacked tomorrow where I have to change the lines, may find a solution to getting the front ones off.
Also...
Not too much camber

Well, all I got is front brakes but standard lines... taking it easy as they're a little stretched and I don't fancy breaking one and having to try and replace it.
I'm pushing back my plans a little instead to give myself more time to do everything.
So it won't be until June or so now that I can do the engine swap, and I'm planning on getting all the hardlines replaced and doing it while the engine is out to make life a weeny bit easier. It will essentially mean that I'll have a pretty much brand new braking system all round, which suits me fine.
I was going to pick up a prop valve at the same time and I was wondering if someone could point out differences between the ABS and non-ABS ones? If it's just line position or whatever then I'll be bending everything afresh myself anyway so that won't be an issue... or is there something else?
Otherwise, anyone know a common EU model I can and pinch somet off of?
Raised the front up a notch as you can see above and the little bit of bump steer I had has gone completely. Bit strange as I was sure the steering arm was still slightly inclined down to the hub but apparently not. Drives like a dream at the moment, and the front end feels better in general, possibly because of the more normal stroke on the shocks. Or maybe I'm imagining it

Yer, quite a few of 'em around.
But not many which have only one body panel clear of either rust or damage lol I dread to think what it looks like under the rear 3/4s, the one I repaired has begun to bubble up a little further round. Incidentally there's a nice dent there from some dumb bitch in a land rover while I was parked up at work. I'd only had it repaired a few days

As much as I'd love to keep the car, dump a proper engine and upset people in their much bigger and 'better' cars, quite frankly I can't be bothered.
So, rather than dropping a B16 in, I might just buy a VTi, transfer everything over and make a fresh start. Of course I might not do that and could buy something else entirely lol
I'm not making any hard and fast decisions yet, but if I'm to replace it, it will most likely be in May when the insurance is up.
Wait and see methinks while I gather my monies.
