- Sat Apr 04, 2009 11:49 pm #108368 Big time bump updates galore just dont have pics since i gotta find my cameras battery recharger........well anyhow.

we can start with the most recent and work are way backwards.....

-Bought my old exhaust back off the kid who traded me for the si i had for 10$ that is everything except the muffer which i have a few im gonna test out before anything happens. But yea exhaust is in pretty decent condition but i am thinking about completely rebuilding it with a little bit bigger piping and of coarse get a header instead of using the restrictive cx manifold. im also thinking about incorporating a inline cat from maybe magnaflow or something.....and rebuilding it using piping from advance and taking it to a weld shop and haveing them weld it up nice and clean

-Well plans have changed drastically as now im going with a mini me set-up instead of a turbo set-up or a bseries set-up i got rid of the zc and the turbos to my friend who originally had them and got back my z6 head and gsr trans with a bad case and a spare ls case.....and i think something else but yea anywho....traded the gsr trans and spare case to another friend for a rebuild z6 trans with everything on it still and shift linkage containing a dual bend honda oem shifter....plus a nice cash incentive lol so lets see i think that leaves me with 1-2-3-4 or so Z6 heads one that might be going as soon as i get pictures.....

-My other friend whom used to have a auto 4dr awhile back i went out and got him a full 5spd swap and lets just say he paid me well and ended up giving it all back to me for free once he sold well traded his 4dr for a 5spd ef hatch....but yea anyhow im also getting another good z6 trans for a decent price with everything on it......so that also leaves me with 1-2-3 Z6 trans lol and only 2 sets of shift linkage that may change lol.....once i get my 1/4" punch.

-So lets see ohhh yea i got rid of the Z6 block i had due to it would of needed a complete rebuild and funds at that time where low sold it for $50 and bought a low miles D15b2 off a guy that pretty much bought his ef hatch drove it home parked it and dropped the motor for a B16a though the motor did show its age in grime lol oil was nice n clean and there isnt much i would of needed to do to drop it into my car. well i ended up going all out since my mom sold her bmw and since i helped i got 300 out of the 3300 she got for it so yea i went all out and got all of the following from partsdinosaur.com (these prices where nice too)

-Waterpump
-timing belt
-headgasket set
-lower gasket set
-oil pump
-brass freeze plugs
-timing belt tensioner

And i did get the stuff needed to throw one of the Z6 heads on it after i clean it up some and port match the intake and exhaust.

So......those parts should be here tuesday april 7th and I will be very happy lol i have to take a picture of the pile of parts im gonna have....

I still have not touched the hatch in awhile however ive been getting stuff for it lol and that transmitions gonna be real nice. though i still have to get other parts for it to make it run correctly so that is priority number one going to the junkyard tomarrow to grab some stuff lol.

So probaly tomarrow im going to do a quick motor swap for a friend of mine into his del sol to replace the shitty one that way i get more scrap metal. and that means more money lol so yea thats the update as of right now enjoy and sorry for the lack of picks i just got done revamping my room and idk where anything is lol....

And im getting things ready to sell lol hurray for stuff i wont need....

- Sat Apr 25, 2009 2:02 am #113138 So ive been slacking really only posting updates in the "what did you do to your whip today" thing in the junk yard but i guess i can do a quicky update with no pictures because i just finally got my new batterycharger so im gonna probaly wait till tomarrow to take any pictures of anything.....

And so here is the updates so far

I got my rear disc back finally from my friends house missing stuff of coarse so i gotta get stuff again.....(not happy with him on many occasions but ohh well) They are back and in my posession so yea....

I am working on my Z6 head porting and polising the exhaust valves right now cant wait till i get it done and reassembled.....since i have a box of parts ready to go on the motor and head for my mini me and ARP's on the way.....

I am planning on taking the Dash out and getting rid of the SRS passenger side, and the little control module and the sensors on either side there.....Just because id rather them not function at all than malfunction due to their age.....

I also bought a brand newish gray carpet from a hatch that was up at the junk yard so theres one less thing i will need im going to figure out if i like it gray or if i want it black.....And then yea i gotta do the brakes on my car. clean up the bay area probaly move the battery to the trunk.....and cut a hole and do some fabrication so it looks halfway decent in there and is not sticking up so i dont hit it with anything

And finally i Gotta get some stuff up for sale lol i needs some fundage for more goodies and just plain old money. well theres my quick update im gonna clean myself up and go to bed.....I think i got sun burned lol hurray its warm out!!!

But first my D15b2 shortblock....





That was before cleaning it up i am probaly going to go and work on the oil pan soon gotta respray it and stuff but besides that i know i want to get it spray painted silver or something so the block looks completely clean well anythow heres the head.....

And also here on a unrelated note is going to end up being my rear seat a pretty much brand new cx rear leather seat.....

lol dont i know i change my mind a little too much i think but ehh happens Cant really work on the hatch till we get a make shift driveway in place and i clean out my shed a bit so i can fit stuff i take off in there for now.....

But yea through time plans have definately changed almost thought about going B series three times but money and a new rebuilt z6 trans got in thta and a zc trade which never used ended up trading back for stuff i wanted.....And then due to finances wasnt thinking about rebuilding the z6 block i had and good thing i didnt use that head because supposevly i traded to this ricer kid some stuff just to get rid of it and it ended up locking up ohhh well im sure he was driving it like a idiot.....

But yea came across this nice low miles D15b2 and though it was dirty i plan on using it and haveing some fun then ill decide what i really want to do....but before then i need to do up some more college lol....

So I got in most of the stuff i need to finish off the motor and hook up the trans (still gotta snag axels but the only thing really left new are the arp headstuds i ordered should be here shortly.....

Anyhow so i woke up real early today since i had to take my mom into work and ended up staying up since 530 am est took a load of scrap to the yard that had to be moved taken up so much space....so did that posted a wanted ad for a moped in trade for my wheeler since i dont want that anymore most likely going to sell it.....And i cleaned and painted my motor (thank you hatchies dad for letting me borrow your wire brush thing.....)

Anyways here be the pics and look nice shiny piston heads lol...

And yea so there was that so far dont worry havent installed any of the new parts yet i want to get some locktite and stuff like that for it first....and yea it was a shitty tape job but meh it worked and also i hit the ceramic paint with a torch just to get it to set a little bit now im letting it sit in the sun a bit before i put her away again....

Bought a battery for $20 pretty much brand new from the guy who sold me the bottom end, and im also getting good half shafts in trade for a si cluster with high miles, and hes probaly also buying my ek skirts since right nwo i could use the money.....but yea quick little update there. since im hopefully soon probaly tomarrow putting her on my concrete slab once i move some stuff around and going to town on her stripping her down and rebuilding it back up here and there....Hurray for progress!!?!

Also splurged on a brand new Si mid pipe so no leaky leaky from my exhaust lol

Ok well since im done workign on other peoples cars and got myself organized so to speak i have everything sorta that i need to put on my car in my shed or downstairs



So i ended up having my mom help me move my car to the work area (the patio or something block of concrete lol) And I ended up getting right to work and enjoying every minute of it i didnt care if i got cut, smacked my noggin a couple of times what have you. I was working on my car for once the one i love so much. And before i started working on it took some pictures of it....















Now mind you the only difference between now and when i was driving it is now there is no z6 motor in it or any motor at all right now, no hood (downstairs) and no front bumper (shed) i had a passenger side seat off and on but never really cared what the passenger felt they where not giving me any gas money anyhow lol....But yea shes a project all right and i have pretty much everything to make her look her best even time now that i dont have a job. So what did i do today on her hmmm.....

How about took the dash out since im gonna be wiring up guages, doing a little security and what not.painting the area around the windsheild flat black since during most sunny days i can see a large reflection from the vent area in my windsheild and since its gloss red i wonder why lol. And while i was doing that I also made 2 DIY's writign down steps and taking pictures.

and then sat there in the shell and dreamt of what was to come....and what will be lol no more SRS for me that systems going out probaly tomarrow if i finish my home work for most of my final project.....

- Sun May 03, 2009 11:51 pm #114720 So today I ended up taking it slow since i really didnt finish al my home work lol but meh ohh well.....Anyhow I started off by removing the brake master cyl., clutch master cyl, and prop valve. Then I took most of the day and just wiped down the engine bay and well its nice and shiny and squeaky clean now but i need to take my wire wheel and fix up some rust thats beginning to come up and I dont think yet I am at the stage where i can completely repaint the car and stuff like that if you know what i mean I am going to wait till im going to really do up this car before i paint it so faded read, and black primer spots in the bay with be it for now lol as well of coarse as the rear quarters in black in stuff......

Anyhow lets see some pictures







So yea theres that I think im doing one heck of a job so far. but still im not to sure if im gonna move the battery to the trunk or what......

- Tue May 05, 2009 6:56 pm #115074 Ok heres a quck little update I just gave my Z6 head (unassembled) to hatchies dad so he can take it to a friends shop and get it flat so after that im reassembling the head and getting it ready for installation. once i geet my ARP's ill be pretty much set the only thing i think ill be needing for the swap to be completed is axels and i think im trading for them....but yea anyhow head has been completed with my porting and polishing job as well as the intake is ready to be mated....so im almost ready to finish up my motor I just hope that everything goes smoothly so just updateing havent really touched the car been working on hw and stuff so soon i will have it up and going hurray!

- Sat May 16, 2009 3:06 am #117208 Ok new update lifes been well a whole big freaking drama house but thankfully working on my car. brings me comfort and takes me away from the troubles in my life.....So with out a further adu let the updates commence

So right now my head is being rebuilt by a good friend cant wait till its done because then my motor gets put together and dropped in.....but as of right now i finished my black engine area didnt paint the firewall since that was ok the sides and stuff had rust and stuff.....and i also painted my vent area since during the summer the sun would shine and id get a nice glossy reflection so flat black it is.....











Ok so there ya go 1 full days worth of work brought me far....tomarrow idk if ill get to the car but i know the next thing im going to do the rear quarter panels!! hurray

So far engine bay almost done
rust repair almost done
Rear disc swap I bought new calipers just in case and am planning on doing that once i get my rear quarters done...

Ok I have put in the integra ls booster with rs master a brand new clutch master from a 99 ek, and a brand new fuel filter....
I stripped teh lower subframe brace due to surface rust and i repainted after sanding it down with high temp paint....

And first quarter panel is getting done just gotta do up some more mud work







plenty more things still left to do I sent out my head to get redone so hopefully soon i can start putting together my mini me motor....
