Loved the little story about you and your car there made me chuckle, but im glad you sorted things out with the girlfriend.

Do you have a build thread up anywhere? Even if its not on here, maybe civiclife or somewhere? I would like to see!

The plans for mine are rather big aswell.. But im not giving to much away yet, its good to keep people guessing :P

yea its all good atleast i got another car :woot2:. this place is like my second home not a meber on any others. i found most of the members were a bit arragant unless you had 1000's plus post and just shot you down any chance they got. and this one you get respect even if you got 1 post. na dont have a build thread atm thought i would do it a bit diffrent and do the build first then make the post. but on my next build i will be doing it the same way as you :thumb:. hows the build coming along you making good progress

- Fri Sep 16, 2011 11:16 pm #272402 I understand where your coming from mate about alot of other forums, although i must say so far the response ive got on Civiclife has been great :) I think it all depends on who is replying to your thread, weather they just be someone who drives a Honda, Or someone who is enthusiastic about Honda and all that they are.

Shame about you not having a current build thread :P But i will make sure i see your next build though mate.

Progress with the car is going well, Just the bad weather has held me back a little lately, HOWEVER! car will be in the garage before christmas once i have it all sorted and made room for it, then i shall be living in the place :woot:

The best i could do for you is take a close up shot of the paint during the day, i have a DSLR camera so would pick up the color well then you could get a paint shop to match the color up for you :)

:lol: tbh i havn't tried on that forum ive got comfortable here and all the people are cool and all the info i will ever need is here so all is cool. i found that on ek9.org some was ok but others were :x . yea u cant trust good old england for its superb weather :lol: probley why mine has taken me so long. i did think about a build thread but thought it would be easier to get everythink done first then put it up. trying to do 3 cars after each other takes up a lot of my time. i was doing my partners ej first in my sig pic that took 1 1/2 year mine has taken 2 1/2 il be an old man still tuning my honda :lol: im now looking for a mb6 8). cant wait to see the build finished should look sweet maybee i will get to see it in person 1 day :thumb:

Cant disagree with you there mate this site is brilliant for info on EG's, Always has been! Your a busy man with your honda's you :)

First time around it took me 8 months to build her, This time im hoping will take about the same amount of time i want it all done and dusted by april at the latest..

And tbh theres a high chance you will see her in person if you go to JAE next year.. If you haven't been before, You should deffo go, Amazing event, amazing people, amazing cars!

..... Sorry engine bay isn't painted yet guys.. Just some boring old engine pictures to follow :P

So whilst the weather was bad i started work on the engine, First of all getting it all stripped down, So heres a few pictures of the progress so far.

Building up quite a selection of parts now.. Wish me luck for when they all have to go back on :P

All motor build :) high compression pistons, cams, intake, header.. All the usual stuff really but I wont spare any expense, ive got a pretty good idea of what specific parts I want but ill leave that down to peoples imagination for now...

Started by wet sanding all the primer down..

But then.. ¬.¬ The weather had other plans! Grrr!

BUT! not to worry i had prepared for a day such as this! and using my super duper craftsman skills i had made a cover.. lol

Finally having all the wet sanding done it was almost time to paint, all that was left to do was cover up the windows and front of doors to avoid getting them covered in paint!
