Can i have the lip from the front cut you bought :P I tried to find a lip for my civic here in Greece and the ppl are crazy...they sell a lip for like 300 euros! like it will make my car DOHC haha.Anyway ill search for a lip on Egay but the posting fee is like 10 times the cost of the lip.
Nice work again!and keep us updated...Wanna see that lil beast into ur car running wild :thumb: :thumb:

thanks Reptile :thumb: sorry i've been waiting ages for the same lip too :P have you tried Honda direct for the lip? hopefully you find a lip fo your car

modding your ride yourself the satisfaction of the finished project is 100 times better than paying to get it done, goin to do the B16A motor swap in a couple of months :thumb:

- Mon Mar 28, 2011 2:56 pm #246716 Latest mod on Project EG Roll was wiring up the JDM SiR gauges to the dimmer, i got results from wiring up the gauges with the guidance of cjw_89 (cheers champ):thumb: and received mixed results from the process :?

ok, so i raped a few cars from work for their globe sockets in the auto trans shifter and cig lighters and ash trays and made sure there was adequate wiring for each socket. replaced the factory illumination globes/sockets with the new ones and mapped out the wiring path then soldered it all together

once installed the gauge cluster appeared brighter than before but when i went to adjust brightness on the dimmer switch i didn't get any variation in lighting from the cluster :? so the mod has and hasn't worked for me so i'll be fitting LED's to the gauges in an attempt to get the desired brightness from my gauges

even though the mod was a bit off a anti climax for me i still appreciate the help from cjw_89 [smilie=notworthy.gif] you helped a lot with the process n i hope i can help you as you have helped me :D

grabbed a pair of FTO bucket seats from work (need to modify mounts before they go in) :thumb: picked up a sub box w/ 2x 12" Pioneer Subs and a couple of amps to run the full system and also raped some more parts off of the EG6 front cut- headlights, front bar w/lip, airbox, rad, a/c condensor.

will have pics of the goodies as soon as i get a chance

- Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:24 pm #247136 Nice work there with the Gauge try to paint the pointers with some other colour like very bright yellow or orange it will look sick...And btw i like the bucket seats but im not sure if i want em into my civic cause that would be a very 'ricing' move to do...i prefer a custom semi-bucket seat tbh...Soon ill get you photos from my civic...got a new exhaust pipe,air filter from type r 2008,and soon as ill get paid ill mod on some tint windows and xenon kit...Looking around in junkyards for some exterior parts[lips,spoilers etc] and what i dream of finding in one of em....some abandoned civic that hides a B16A2 engine or some Y8 :D :thumb:

Anyway provide us some pics with your new work

the needles on the cluster are already orange, and am changing the back lights to red LED's.

the FTO seats are out of a JDM car so its not "ricing"as you put it, the seats didn't cost me anything and are a comfortable sport seat with more support and better looks than the standard they are similar to RECARO SR3's without the pricetag and is a change to what other ppl are dropping into civic's and will end up being custom semi bucket seats once fitted and retrimmed in black suede with red stitching.

every body is different and this is the way that i'm taking my project, and you will take your project on its own path. good luck with your project and what you can find for it.

- Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:29 am #247321 If i did somehow insult you by saying the bucket seats are kinda ricing didnt mean to :( I just said that it would be kinda,in my opinion,and im not 100% sure that i would use buckets in my civic...I do like em cause there are comfortable,looking sport,they provide a nice sitting position for fast driving etc i dont know...i just want to clear that out nothing personal with you dude :thumb: your work so far is going great and i love it...i envy ur garage,the time u spent on ur civic and the money u have spent on it...i envy but the good way of jealousy hmm most like i admire it...i wish i could do the same...Our projects started at about the same time but you have done a million more things... w8ing for this months salary for new uploads and upgrades

Do you think maybe you could swap the guts from the EG6 cluster into your EG4 cluster to solve your dimmer problem?

if i could afford RECARO SR3's out of a DC2 type R i would go that option, as for time and money i have little of both after bills i'm lucky to have $50pw to spend on mods and only really get to work on the EG every other Sat or Sun

i thought it over and i cbf taking the cluster out and frankensteining them together lol :P

- Thu Mar 31, 2011 3:03 pm #247372 Nice seats at the right price 0$ :D:D those seats i would install aswell no second thoughts...And btw about the gauge u can get a nice one from Egay i found one for 36$ and it looks awesome...blue and red leds included so u can make ur gauge shinny! ill try to find it again and post it...check on My Ride topic for my new exhaust Hafilo ill get it installed today after i finish my courses
