picked up this valve cover forever ago from member chilango.. a friend of mine has been telling me to let him take it to work and pick a color. so i finally let him and just told him do a nice silver.. I really like how it turned out!

#278777 Well fellas, her time has come..


Guess what they say is true about running their best before they go.. started her up yesterday, and all signs are pointing to a blown ringland.. got on it going down the street and smoke started pouring in the cabin. i popped the hood and smoke is billowing out the catch can and valve cover breather, nothing out the exhaust.

she did quite well.. i beat on her quite hard and made well over 100 passes down the 1320'. I should have got it re-tuned after changing the exhaust, but instead just lowered the boost controller so it would stay at the same psi. (the better flowing exhaust made it want to spool more)



THE PLAN!!

put the low mile JDM B18b in with a stronger clutch and tell Blundar to get it close to 300whp :twisted:. that should give me enough time to send the "blown" motor to the machine shop for forged pistons/rods, valve seals and dual springs in the head and rebuild my LS tranny. then we'll shoot for closer to 400whp

I look forward to even faster 1320 times from you. This thread was a big part of the inspiration to go turbo over supercharging. I cant wait for more.

gotta pick a clutch.. really dont want a damn 6 puck but i think i got to.. guess i'm gonna order a Competion Clutch Stage 4. would like to find a really strong, non-kevlar type, solid face disc that comes with a really beefy pressure plate! I've heard the solid face kevlar (CC stage 3 types) have horrible life, plus they're $100 more than the stronger stage 4

and i know some of you will disagree with this.. I ended up going with the Competition Clutch Stg 2. I did this cause what i thought was a Stage 1 exedy in my car was actually just an OEM exedy. It held 240 wheel torque with NO PROBLEM at all with 100+ passes at the drag strip. the CC rep said it's cause the car is so light and I would be fine on the stage 2 with 300whp.


a little bit of slip can be your friend. I think this will also keep my OEM axles and ITR diff happy :lol:

if not, f*** it. i got it for pretty cheap :lol:
