#304745 ok so far i've put about 20 hours of body work into this thing. most of it was to the drivers side. this thing does NOT have the best shape for a body. lots of dents and a good amount of welding is needed. seriously 20 hours on 1 side of the car? thats crazy. well worth it though. after the dents are fixed i have 2 spots to weld new metal on. taking a break from the mechanical side of it for a bit.

#305034 took a few days off from the hatch and gave my lungs time to recover cause i refuse to use a mask when sanding for some reason. gonna see about using someones welder so i can finish this bay an pull the swap back out from under it to actually have room to work on it. i got soem plans for the inside as well. gonna go check it out an see if i can actually do them without needing to drop out too much money on it.

haha that it does bro that it does. after doing body work for 4 years though you get used to it being so damn boring. i love doing it but i hate the sanding part. i'll cut, weld, paint, and out a layer of bondo on al day. sanding though i'll pass when i ave the chance to haha.

#305046 Great work!!!
About the axels problems with the H22, if you go turbo or No2 like my dumb-ass did. You will have to upgrade. For some reason oem ones like to snap out or brake. I miss my old 94 coupe

thanks bro. oohh ok thats good to know. i don't plan on boosting it or adding nos at any point. its always a good idea to upgrade axles though anytime you boost up the HP.

#305262 so i got bored an started adding up everything i need. i'm not done with what i need and including the price of the car i'll be $3,600 deep and still need to buy a few more things. i'm looking at well over $4,000 deep into this thing. thats crazy.

#305264 Almost $4000 is a decent price...i'm about a lil more than half compared to yours. Other people have dropped will over $30 grand into a lil hatch.

Remember our hobby isn't cheap. When some people realize how expensive it gets they tend to veer away.

this is just getting it to move an drive again. thats not ncluding interior haha. i know its not gonna be cheap if it is then somethings wrong haha. this is the firts time i've actually stuck to a project of this level so i never got the full feel of how deep it runs.

#305406 well after having a problem with my sander (pretty sure it threw a rod. who knows i'm not a sander mechanic.) and spending the past 4 hours hand sanding the rest of the car i bolted up the tranny mount to the tranny an got the bolt to hold it up. we know what that means. looks like its time to pull the H back out an bolt them together an bolt the mounts to it an put it in. i held off long enough starting body work i guess haha. real question though is anyone here close to Manchster, NH? i really need a welder to finish the bay an body work. this project is the only car i have left due to some issues soooo i'm stranded till i got it running.

#305486 damn man i feel ya on that big of a project, the last owner of my coupe, litterly fucked up the WHOLE front end, suspension, swap and bay(painted over stock color without sanding, so now i have to strip and repaint the whole bay, finish sanding the body and filling the side trim holes, and then sand and paint my new bumpers, fenders and hood, along with swapping my motor and replacing the whole front suspension and hubs, luckily i have all my interior, and mine was actually straight, until i effed up my driver door(got pissed because a cop was trying to say i sped around a corner when all i did was take it sharply to avoid catching the oil pan on a dip) so now i have to replace thatbut i certainly do feel you on that, most of my body work is in the bay and i have been working on this for almost 4 months, you can check my build thread out too, itll showyou what im talking about lol, its not a very easy process to build a car, let alone a honda but stick with it!

it's taking a lot for me to get stuff done on it. its harder now that i have a new girl that has a 1 year old so i try an spend more time with them so he gets used to me but it will be running soon. i love body work i enjoy doing it but hand sanding sucks. i lost my welder when i moved cause the land lord legit threw EVERYTHING out when i was gone with the last load of shit. so i need to either borrow one or use ALOT of bondo and hate my car cause of it. i'll def check out you're thread though bro. i just have to figure out the wire harness thing at some point haha.
