#54332 Gee thanks  lol

Hoping to get something done to the front as of the nice weather we're having over here at the mo :thumb:

I've sanded down flat the filler yestaday, no point showing pics yet. Will get pics once I've primered and painted.

Also, as of the nice weather my valve cover needs a paint job. Here's a little teaser of what's comming up...

Any ideas on what this box does? and I'm thinking of mounting it behind where it is, I'm going to do a wiretuck, anyone got a guide? :? I really don't know where to mount the wires in the middle :?

Also anyone else whose done this before, how did you get them shitty black pads off that are stuck to the floor? :? Is their an easy way of doing this?

After going out today, I'm thinking of carpeting the rear as it's noisy. but IDK yet. No haters about the lame bolts holding on the spoiler, I know about these and need to change them.

Next up, X-brace and roll cage :thumb:... when I have the cash

Wouldn't it be cool if you could get a see through tank cover  made from plexi-glass or something.

First of all you have a very nice car man :thumb:

A good friend of me in the netherlands makes the braces however you like them. He had make some miracle x replica's for some friends of me and it looks so damn nice 8) He's gone make a custom one for me. If your interrested i can send you some pictures of the braces he had made.

About the box in the back of your interieur: It's the computer of your abs if i don't get it wrong :)

The shitty black pads that are stuck to the floor, are easy to remove when they are cold (they are very hard then and you can easy remove them with a screwdriver of a small hamer  ) When is't hot they will get very soft and hard to remove because it gets very sticky

If you want some more information about the braces or if you have some questions about the things you asked...send me a pm

#55082 Thanks for the info man  could you post up some pictures of the X-braces? I was going to get a Miracle X but I can't find anywhere in the US that ships to the UK anyway, but as I said. I'm strap for cash at the mo

Thanks for the info on what the box is. I'm hoping to relocate it behind where it is.

#55086 like matey said above, the little box is the abs ECU.

best way of getting the sound proofing out is with a hea gun then scratch away with a flat head screw driver. once you have most of it off get some petrol / white spirit in there and scrub away... that will get rid of the last little bits and clean it all up.

oh, id be interested in a replica miricle x-bar.

#55099 Yo Jon, where did you re-locate yours?

Also is their a wire tuck guide on these forums? Thanks for the tip on removing the black shit, i'll give this ago some time when I can borrow my friends heat gun :thumb: attacking it with a flat head, wont that damage the paint? I'm still thinking of carpeting the floor to give it a clean look, but I'm sure this wont matter when I get the roll cage anyway.

Does anyone know of a decent company that make real roll cages and not show cages? OMP makes them and can ship to me, I noticed on eBay, but the guy said when I contacted him that they make cages to fit cars without sunroofs, which I have

I'm after a full cage that goes to the front and back, including door bars.

Next up, which will be tomorrow is to clean things up in the back. I really need to get that black shit off and I need some discs for the angle grinder to remove the brackets for the rear seats. I'll proberly keep the bracket that holds the spare wheel in place, for MOT reasons, incase they bitch it requires a spare to pass it's test.

#55153 I was just about to say "Wtf is that crazy box?!" but glad its not something i should have and dont

I took the sound deadening out on a really cold day - left the boot open so it was cold in the car and then chipped that shite off - came off in big chunks 8)

He can make them in alluminium and stainless steel

#55252 @ Derek

haha, I thought your centre was all rusting then when I looked closer I noticed it was covered in that black shit. The thing with dry ice is that over here it's hard to get hold of. As I wouldn't have a clue of where to get it from lol.

You guys confuse me, one tells me to do it in the cold as it comes off easier, the other tells me to use a heat gun to remove it. Confusing stuff

@ B-eg

That looks like an awsome X brace, could you hook us up on some prices bro? The one in them pics looks sweet as, does your friend also include the brackets to mount it? Also, that looks kinda like a Ford Fiesta :?

#55287 hot or cold, both will remove the sound proof.

only reason why i said use the heat gun is because the weather has been quite good in the UK the past week or so.... i doubt your going to get a cold enough morning to be able to use the cold air to chip it away.

the dry ice is the best i have seen and read about to use... but... its nearly impossable to get any here in the UK. unless you work for a company that uses dry ice.

that brace looks f*cking qaulity and i would defo be interested in one... as slip said, get some prices dude.

slip - i havent re-located the ads ecu yet, tbh it does really bother me that much. neither do the wires hanging about...

using a flat head screw driver may chip the paint work underneith the sound proof but most people tend to re-paint the interior once they have stripped it.

i want to paint mine matt black but im lazy
