thanks.

I actually have been gathering all these parts and going to junk yards since last feb, so over a year. So yeah, this all has been taking a very long time. I work on it a few hours on saturdays when mt mother-in-law comes over to visit and help with the kids.

it's not easy.

#304170 car is almost done. it is driveable now and tracks / brakes in a straight line. did not mess with toe or camber adjustments. I will still get an alignment next weekend. I still have to lower my front end a little to make the car level, right now the front end is a little high. Take so much time to check/adjust ride height. [take wheel off, adjust, wheel back on, drive back and forth a little, remeasure, ...repeat] I also was not able to put on the gsr rear sway, need longer endlinks and bolts. I thought I had everything.

The most apparent experience is fantastic braking. Combo of new yokoama tires, new discs all around, new pads all around, really was amazing. The lowered stance also is so fun the drive around corners. The front sway bar is really amazing too. Can't wait to get my rear sway bar installed now. Next couple steps are paint and engine swap. that's a ways away, I want to enjoy my tight handling, stop on a dime, quick 5 speed extremely light car.

here are some photos

thank you for the words.
I wouldn't do it if it was not fun. Tried to use good shape junk yard parts as much as I could to keep the cost down. it was alot of time and prep, but it all worked out.

#306593 happy with the ride height.

Lowered it over the weekend a lil bit more and leveled it out all around. Car is less bouncy (had the front higher than the back by about 1 inch). Really a dramatic increase in handeling. Didn't realize when putting the coilovers on that the top hap spins, so you can turn your coilovers to change the ride height without taking off the from the control arms. what a time aver and almost a big [coilover] newbie mistake.

Just have to now get some adjustable endlinks form my rear sway bar install. really happy how the car turned out.
