#208498 i am in the process of building a mild turbo motor. My initial setup consisted of d15b7 stock bottom end y8 head a b7 head gasket and a garrett t3 turbo at about 8-10 psi of boost that put the cr to about 10.23:1which is too high for me i then however changed the piston out to a y8 piston cr dropped to 9.00:1 this is the cr i would like to have i know people use vitara pistons alot, just wondering whats my best option here and if thees y8 pistons have low compression why are they not more popular. I have no turbo knowledge so if i sound like a rookie i apologize just looking to build and learn

that is generous...
find a d16 block, and build it.

#235211 I don't believe FJ Distributors makes rods for the d15b7 yet. The ones you linked are for a jdm b15b only. I was going to do the same setup but in the description it says it will not work on the usdm d15b. Correct me if I'm wrong.

-For all Honda JDM D15B engines using Vitara pistons
-For turbo applications.
-ARP 2000 Rod Bolts (3/8")
- 600+ whp rating
- NO Notching of Block is required on JDM D15 engines

These rods were designed Specifically to run the Vitara pistons into
JDM D15B engines(Only the JDM Model, will not fit into USDM D15)
. When you use standard length (137mm) rods with
Vitara pistons, the pistons will either stay below the deck (d16 engines)
or go up pass above the deck height (JDM D15).

You are correct they do not have them yet. However RCAutoworks has a deal with a hungarian company to distribute their d15b7 vitara rods here. You might try hitting them up.
