#254130 well it should be pretty easy for me i did it one my first car in a few hours and it was a 96 dodge avenger wth the 2.5 v6. god that car had so many motor problems. yeah im gonna pull the coupe out of the garage since it seems pretty nice out right now then gonna spray the bolts in pb blaster let em sit then gonna go at it haha.

#254217 so today went to pull the coupe outta the garage so i could do a lil cleanin up found out that the metal line that hold coolant by my cai tube was squirting coolant like a mofo so fixed that and then once i pulled her back in the garage i put the front end on jackstands to do a more indepth check of the bottom of the motor,body,exhaust ,etc. and found out why my downpipe was leaking and why my exhaust rattles.. the dipshit p.o of my coupe decided a car doesnt need a flexpipe so its all solid. :x also found out that i definitally need the E.S shifter bucking kit and possibly rear trailing arm bushings. more updates tomorrow but heres a couple crappy phone pics of what i mean.

#254221 eg's dont come with flex pipes the exhaust hangers allow the exhaust to move enough. the rattling is coming from the stock piping for some reason honda thought it was a good idea to put a pipe inside of a pipe and the inside pipe probably rusted off the welds which then causes rattles my ej2 and brothers ed7 had the same problem. so the only way to get rid of the rattle is to get a new ehaust :thumbdown:

#254222 the rattling is under the body were it bends after the resonator bc the guy did something wrong with it i dont know what but it seems to short. and from everything after the cat looks fine just a tid bit of surface rust on the welds but from mani to cat is shittty.

#254269 your right, they dont have flex pipe. However they also shoudlnt have that big plate welded to the downpipe and then to the chasis. unless im seeing that wrong. It looks like thats whats going on in your pic. If so grind the plate off of there.

#254284 alright i mean i was thinking bout just puttin one on there for shits and giggles fo alil extra assurnce but ifthey dont even come with one then im set. yeah ill figure out that whole deal with that plate. also doing the tb,tensioner, an waterpump today hopefully the crank wont be a pita sicne i got a impact and a goo compressor.

That is a nice motor. However he shouldn't say that the complete Turbo kit is one price and then list the Mani as extra.

#254366 thanks guys! i did the oil change today and im glad i did it was hellathick. also ran my wires for my stereo system and got bored and hooked it up real quick man do i miss that bass haha. also drained the coolant out so i could start on my tb/wp. was gonna start gettin the crank pulley off but had to drain my compressor and fix one of the fittings. i found a z6 on cl for 150 motor,tranny and ecu. has a spun bearing though kinda thinking bout buyin it if i got the funds before its sold

#254376 no what i was saying there is a pipe inside of the exhaust pipe that comes loose and rattles but you cant tell by looking at the outside of the pipe a pics of what im talking about
