If i could offer some advice i'd have to say just take it one step at a time, one thing at a time. Don't focus on how much you still have to do, just focus on doing one thing at a time and completing things one by one..

also maybe you could focus on the mechanical and just get it on the road, whether it looks like shit half-finished or not, at least you'd get some satisfaction and motivation out of driving it and you could fix up the visual stuff as money comes.. I tore down my hatch last winter and planned soo much for it lol and everything took 10x longer than i expected and ran into so many problems, and thats on a relatively good shape shell.. I haven't driven it for a long time now and im just so tired of working on it for hours on end i need some enjoyment here soon to keep me motivated

but yeah I can ramble too lol! good luck with your build man and keep your head up because in the end there will be no other car like your own :thumb:

- Fri Jun 29, 2012 2:55 am #309691 went and "attempted" to remove my front suspension..not going so well...got the steering wheel and pivot joint removed with ease...damn lca's are being a pain to get off...attempting to not remove subframe but its lookin like ill have to bust out the air gun and get that shit dropped then all i have to do is take everything apart and clean up wheel hubs and rebuild breaks, then i can order my parts once the money is here, and hopefully get everything cleaned and put together, then i just have ot repaint the bay after some more sanding...would like to weld holes but no welder so for now its just getting tucked mildly and resprayed, then hopefully i can start putting the motor in and working on the rest of it....weather permitting of course :thumb:

haha as im posting these pictures i get a call from autozone saying they want me to come in for an interveiw tomorrow....what a wierd coincedence, i havent touched my car in a few weeks and then today i go show her some love and take all my goodies inside...and BAM!! haha wish me luck guys this could be the start of something good...

- Fri Sep 28, 2012 7:17 pm #316748 well a little bit of an update, as some of you know my license got suspended for tickets not being paid, decided since i have no job to sell my bike and start getting that taken care of, guy gave me 2000 cash for it so i can pay my tickets, get that taken care of. now i will have about a 1000 bucks left over, and i have my bronco for winter, it needs a little work so im debating if i should get my suspension and a few other things for the civic, or fix the little stuff with my bronco for winter....i just dont know...the bronco just needs a new oilpan and some gaskets and a minor tune up, i still need brakes, suspension, fluids, lines, and a few other things before i can even put my motor in......hmmm decisions, decisions...help?

other than that i made him give me a new drivers side axle he had sittin around for basically lying to me about the shell, and im taking the back wheels off because the tires are still good and the steelies match mine, plus the one front as a full size spare, good tread also, and it came with a brand new catitlytic coverter that i needed, and im just swapping subframes for the suspension so i dont have to take it all apart, once the suspension swap is done, all i have to do is button up my wiring and throw the motor in and get it all hooked up and it should be ready...aside from paint of course...but its finally coming along...even though the shell was a bust and not at ALL what i expected, i did manage to get a SHIT ton of salvagable parts to finish my original build, and i feel alot better finishing what i started....from the pics you guys can see that other shell is beyond my skills to save so im taking everything i can off it for spare parts and stuff to sell to make back the cash i dont have :lol: then off to scrap it goes..hate to see a straight ass body go but whoever did this needs to be shot...im so digusted with the half assed work on this shell...but enough rambling...ill update more as i get her finished :thumb:


EDIT: also the back bumper fits better than the "aftermarket" one i got so thats comin off, no gouges or nothing, and the front one has holes cut for fogs, but other that that its usable, but aside from a couple center console peices and the stuff im taking off, nothing else is usable, i might jack the ignition and have seperate keys for the locks and ignition :lol: :P ...i did get a original key and the ignition is in good shape..but that pretty much it

- Thu Oct 18, 2012 11:11 pm #318183 well no suspension today, for some reason i couldnt find my jack, so i just got busy reinstalling all my interior and dash and whatnot, got the ecu back in, cluster all that jazz, also got my firewall in the engine bay all put back together all the brake lines buttoned up and master cylinder back on, its comin along, will get pics in a bit wife ran off with the camera :lol: its not going to turn out to be the car i wanted, but im just gunna daily it as a beat up sleeper lol, then when everything settles down probably save some money from taxes next year and buy a real project..

- Sat Oct 20, 2012 6:56 pm #318276 :x so i cant get the damn sub frame off my car to swap over thenew one with working suspension...all the bolts are friggin on there like they are welded....i tried and impact gun and they wont budge, and i dont have a torch to heat them up with, anyone got any ideas?
