Posted: Sun Feb 12, 2012 6:55 amboth 11 and 12 have all you need to properly mount rear speakers into your eg hatch. But with 11 it has the two very bottom pieces, these go over your speaker brackets and project the sound through the speaker grill rather than elsewhere within the body of the car. It basically allows the sound to be more clear if I can say.
I have a set in my eg hatch, but I do not have these sound "projectors" in my car, and it sounds very good still. another way of describing it is that it kinda acts as an insulator.

you do not need it to mount the speakers in, but it improves the quality of the sound basically
