- Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:31 pm #218363 my friend gave me a head he had setting around. is there any way to tell what it came off of origanlly? like is there something stamped on it? was trying to see if it is better than the one i have. :headscratch:

- Thu Oct 14, 2010 8:19 pm #218367 Look at the exhaust ports. on the top right somehwere if you an see it give me the number and i can tell you look on the intake side the ports have a extra grrove on top. look for a vtec solenoid mounting spot. if it has it it's a z6 vtec head or a Y8. what do you have right now?

- Thu Oct 14, 2010 10:03 pm #218381 i got just a d15b7 . the code on mine thats on my car is pm9-5. and the one he gave me is pm9-1. the reson i thought they might be different is cause the cam gear looks different. and the i believer there called rocker arms are like a different color than mine. he did say that the head he gave me came from a crx. so im guessing its a older head but idk

i go by how a 95 DX head is a PM9-5
