Garret is a great brand.

- Thu Aug 26, 2010 11:50 pm #210743 go on ebay and get a cheap turbo and everything you need.....you can get the whole setup for like 500 bucks and then just upgrade from there... thats what i would do if your on a budget to get you started.... but look up the faults of the ebay setup its on here somewhere...

- Fri Aug 27, 2010 1:52 am #210755 Ebay turbos suck. The only thing i would get off ebay for any part of a turbo kit is piping. Also i think it is a big turbo but it can be done. I have a read quite a few forums with people who have them. Greasedmonkey what about a GT35R?

Depends on what he is doing to the motor and what he wants power wise.


t3/t4 size is pretty nice and can make good power.

- Fri Aug 27, 2010 3:44 am #210767 Well he wants to make power on his stock z6 so i said go bigger turbo and you will make more power on 8-10 lbs of boost then you would with a small turbo.

Ugh!!! alright so basically it would be good to build the head and block but of course most of us don't have the money and we save month after month just to buy the parts we need for our cars, whether it be the looks or for performance. Just remember the saying if you want it fast and cheap it wont be reliable, if you want it cheap and reliable it wont be fast, if you want it fast and reliable it wont be cheap.
