I see people talk about "upgrading their throttle body" to one from a D16y8 or D16z6... All the EG's and D-series EK's have a 56MM TB. So don't spend money on another one.
Inside Diameters (in mm)
d15b7 - 56
d16a6 - 55
d16y7 - 56
d16y8 - 56
d16z6 - 56
ZC - 55
d16a1 - 55
d16a8 - 55

i think the vx/cx ones are smaller. everytime i look at my vx its so rinky dink. i need a motor upgrade, but the mpg is so great!
the D15z1(VX) has a 40mm throttle body. i will take a picture of my motor... thing is so rinky dink. can't wait to finish my z6!

yea everyone says to upgrade, so my t/b for my d15b7 is 56 and a d16z6 is 56 so its pointless to upgrade?

Yes, the CX and VX throttle body is quite small. I have a pic of one on my site next to a quarter.
Increasing the size of your throttle body is not an upgrade unless you are forced induction. For people with only I/H/E, you will actually lose power. I dyno tested a Z6 I/H/E with an LS throttle body and it lost power just as the tuner warned me. So I put it back to stock.
