did a head gasket on a d15b7 and now the car refuses to start. I have already retimed it over 4 times, i noticed that the dizzy was kinda weak so i changed it out for a brand new on, did a compression test and it looks good on all 4 cylinders, checked all fuses and right now im just scratching my head because i dont know wat to do or wat it might even bee.
please fellow hondanites, help me out!

seriously someone. this thing's got me bugging too. been amonth of serious thought and troubleshooting.. weird for a car not to start after a headgasket change.. Pleasseeee Heeellppp..
It was the done the same way that teal did his. unbolted the intake manifold from the head, and header was removed and then pulled the head out. put it back in reverse of removal. now it just cranks in what seems to be a weak cranking. the new dizzy was installed still the same thing. the dizzy only goes in one way... everyhting is plugged in to where it's suppoed to be. Grounds are all there.
the thing is before work started on this. it started up fine but would just over heat hence the reason for the headgasket replacement. it's an AUTO d15b7..

Check the following:
Do you have spark?
Do you have fuel?
Do you have compression?
Was everything at TDC when it was put back together?
Are all 3 grounds connected to the engine/trans?
Triple check the firing order.

tnak you so much problem resolved.... the firing order i had the wires on right and the distriuter on right but... the little thing in the distributer that actually touches the camshaft. was spun 180*. so if was firing opposite. idk if it is the same proble m with yours but try it . all i had to d o was tak off the whole distributer. 3 12mm bolts on my 92' and spin the 2 teath thing 180 DEGREES. THEN PUT IT BACK ON AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP LIKE A DREAM. TY TEAL

on all the D series dizzys I have worked with, that piece you're talking about could only fit into the cam one way because the 2 teeth were slightly offset from the center.
but glad you got it sorted

the teeth things did look kinda bent but they fit either way. can i replace them. or would i need a whole new dizzy? also after the head gasket change its running but now its making a funny noise it wasnt before. like a tapping or sounds like 2 pieces of metal hitting together. thought it was my mount but i looked and its not. with the sound the whole motor moves almost as if its skipping but it seems to be running fine.
