Not turn ing over
Posted: Tue Dec 14, 2010 2:22 ami jump in my yesterday and to my surprise my car is did not turn over.I check the battery check the distributer and it sounds like my fuel pump work.What could it be?

wack the starter with a long bar or screw driver, sometimes that will get it to temporarily work. if its not the starter, it can also be the ignition... you need to check that with a test light. How to do this - put the test light on the signal wire on the starter and turn the key, if you have power to it, then its not the ignition... its the starter. hope this helps.. good luck

is it cranking at all? like it keeps trying to start but wont. if it's that. sdo you hear your fuel pump prime..?
if not it's the coil in the distributor..
