D16Z6 throttle issues

As title says I have a z6 and I'm experiencing throttle issues.

Basically, when I'm accelerating slightly and then come to a stand still and take my foot off the gas and down on the clutch, my engine starts fluctuating from 1100rpm to around 1500 rpm, up/down/up/down ... Until it decides to idle properly. BUT it idles around 1100rpm.

It all started a month or two ago when idling increased to around 1100rpm, didn't think much of it until it starting revving like this on it's own.

I've tried to adjust the throttle cable, and I've noticed the bit the cable attaches on to (with the spring, the bit that actually increases the rpm) seems to be the problem.

For instance, if I have my engine running and pull the cable from under the bonnet, and let it off, it's starts doing that revving shit, then if I force it down after I blip the throttle it doesn't do it. Although doing that doesn't seem to show any signs of difference visually.

Also another annoying thing is that the thread that the throttle bit (sorry don't know the name, the bit the cable attaches on to) sits on when you're not asking for gas, is as if it's a strong magnet. It's like it gets stuck to do. It has a major effect when driving in traffic. I try and accelerate slowly but where the pedal is stuck, I have to push hard and then there's a sudden jerk because of how hard I've had to push the pedal lol.

Really appreciate it if you guys have the answer on how to make my engine rev correctly and at the right rpm and stop the pedal getting stuck. Also it's very similar to when I'm cruising, when I let off the gas it jerks/kicks as I've taken my foot off the pedal, then engine decreases speed.

Sorry I really hope you guys understand my jibberish.

Thanks in advanced.

the idle problems sound like either a vacuum leak or the AICV(air intake control valve). you could check/replace vacuum lines and chances are your AICV is the factory one and it wouldnt hurt to replace it. it should smooth out your idle alot.

the stickiness of the trottle could be a dirty throttle body. take the intake tube off and clean the thing with carb cleaner

For the idle problem.. Your cooling system might have air, try bleeding the air using the air bleeder valve on the top radiator hose (on the engine side).
or jacking the front of the car and running the car.

BUBBLES IN COOLING SYSTEM OR YOU NEED TO CLEAN OUT THE INTAKE/VACUUM PARTS/VALVES

Try replacing the PCV valve for the idling issue, I just did it as mine used to go up and down from 1100-1500rpms when it warmed up. Plus there only like $4 so it should be done around every 50,000kms or so
As for the sticky I'd go with the throttle body cleaner... It's not going to hurt anything if that's not the issue
