Question about oil burning with a D15B7????

I have a 95 cx hb with a full stock B7 in it. I replaced the motor because the owner before put some bardahl in the engine so it wouldn't smoke as much and on the first oil change lots and lots of smoke so... Three years, lots of hard driving and many kilometers later. When revving the motor past about 5k it starts to blow blue smoke and when I just coast in a gear then hit the gas it really smokes for a second. Question is are my piston rings going or is this crankcase blow by? Or something that I have not mentioned? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would guess it is your rings or valve seals... burning oil on our cars usually means one of the two. So how many miles are on your current motor?
