hey I just bought amy new motor for my new ride and I just want to know if it's good or not ...is a d16a8(ZC)base and a d16z6 head with ARP studs . will it be a better motor compare to a normal d16z6(hp) approximatly how much hp?? and for the head gasket can I put a d16y8 gasket for a highter compression??

Is this going to be a daily driver or a racer? That setup will be a decent SOHC setup for a daily driver. I'm not sure exactly what compression ratio or HP you will end up with having that combo. The stock D16z6 has 127 HP. A y8 head gasket IS thinner than the z6, so that will increase your compression ratio, HP a tad more. But probably not more than a few HP.

it's a rare motor i think?(d16a8)
