don't know how it works in australia but if he shows up to a police precint with that motor with the number scratch off they will take his car,at least in nyc i know they do that,specially if he gets pulled over by autocrime and they see no numbers on that engine you can say good bye to that car

Its strange because australia gets lots of imports like skylines, supras, stageas most with grinded off numbers or different engine year to the car, we have no choice but to let them in and road register them

Man it's like that time that TEIN civic Si got stolen from the trailer it was in out in Cali. did they ever find that car.. ?? Sexy ass car seen it in person out here..

Also, if you want to know the history of that engine, find the car the engine originally came from, write down the vin number or registration plate and go to your mechanic/motor registry and they should be able to track down the past history of that car

If I were you, I wouldn't have even bought that engine, it's just asking for trouble
