VTEC only engages when certain conditions are met. The throttle position, RPM, engine load, and oil pressure are all taken into account.

- Thu Mar 11, 2010 2:25 am #180519 many yers ago i once had a del sol SIR automatic, still have the auto box in the lock up some where,they would only activate if the oil pressure, engine temp was correct, i once had a problem with low oil in the motor,it would go into vtec then drop straight out, is your oil level ok?

- Thu Mar 11, 2010 10:43 pm #180742 yeah auto is pretty normal in trinidad, gear boxes are hard to find.and the price is off the roof .guess where all wrong side.lol...thanks for the info ill look into the oil pressure..or maby the oil needs changing??? havent changed it since i bought it.."3months"..oh shit gotta change that oil!!..weekend project.lol.
