i dont see why B16's would really need torque mounts but...
j/k. you do wanna have those on there. I've seen pics of catastrophic failure with them removed. but.. people do it everyday and dont have problems. I would highly suggest if you do decide to run it without the torque mounts, at least have stiffer aftermarket motor mounts..

ok cheers mate have you got any links for the aftermarket mounts?
i hope that helps, the last two are the same as the top two but with different color mounts. i run advid mounts, they suck thats why i didnt post a link for them, but with the aftermarket mounts you will be able to remove the torque mounts and have no problems. but they will shake the car not to bad were you cant tolerate it

i have already fitted the motor with standard mounts and was just wondering if you could leave them off could they handle it?
its the engine stiffeners on this page im after not sure wot ones are for the b16a2 tho
Stiffeners are different than engine mounts. They're metal brackets that bolt from the engine to the trans near the oil pan. Many times these are missing especially from swaps. I haven't noticed any problems from this but I prefer to have them since Honda went through the expense of creating them.
