I have an 1995 si with a swapped jdm b18c using the p72 jdm ecu.
when the motor gets warmed up it sputters along the acceleration until vtec.
when I plus in the USDM p72 it runs perfect just obviously cuts out vtec.
Bad jdm ecu?
Cause obviously the fuel mapping is the issue cause i can smell fuel after is sputters most of the time...
Confused. Like I said it runs perfect with the USDM p72. suggestions would be appreciated before I go buy another jdm p72 for 300 dollars too find out its not the ecu.

And when it sputters with the jdm p72, its not consistent. Usually after sitting at a red light. sometimes it'll do it in 2nd gear then i shift to 3rd and its fine. I dont get it.

and for some reason it's redlining at 7200ish rpm

Replace your cap and rotor first, it's cheap and easy. Check all your plugs and wires. Don't jump straight into the conclusion that it's the ecu.

Ive replaced the distributor and plug wires and plugs. Bah.

Is your check engine light on?

what have you done as far as diagnostics besides swapping out ECU's?

not far into the diagnostics. I've checked all my lines and shit when the engine is hot I actually found a could antifreeze lines to be leaking fixed them. Didn't work I put on a IAC, fuel filter, check the throttle body. like I said I'm lost.
