I'm not a D-series DOHC fan, they are very common in Holland (standard engine in the ED9 CRX).
Weak engines who tend to blow up when you like to drive a bit faster, I'd stick with the SOHC if you want to have a D-series.
If you wanted to be cheap, I guess you should have get yourself a non-VTEC B18 or something like that.

But I didn't reply just to flame the engine :D
Good work on the swap, is the JDM version already OBD1?

yes my jdm version is obd1. the only reason i have the ZC is so i can drive my car untill its rebuilt.

and ya guys i work pretty guick, i like to get things done in a hurry.

as for my new build...75.5mm(.020")over vitara pistons,hastings rings, eagle rods king rod bearings king main bearings, oem HG,ARP headstuds, modified oil pump, cam gear, hopefully new turbo/mani/downpipe. just a few things

- Tue Jun 26, 2007 11:54 pm #12331 well got it all buttoned up yesterday... and what a day it was.. one of those " nothing goes right" days. first i had a short somewhere, had to hunt it down and fixed that...then no start...it woudl roll over, one of the injector seals was broked, so it was sparying fuel everywhere. fixed the seal, then put in a new ignitiion coil, and it started.:D

Ran like trash, alot of valve ticking, so i drove it home, got an injector code, put new ones in ran like a top. then today i timed it a bit better gapped my plugs and set all my valves...its actually alot better than i expected...not very torquey but none the less it gets me around,...untill i build the D..

anyway i get the bay cleaned up i will take some pics

ya man we all get that day once in a while....you dont even knwo how bad i want boost again...the zc is a nice change, "but boost is best"... you can Quote me on that haha
