- Wed Jul 08, 2009 5:53 pm #129213 Thanks for the comments guys, My Bumper has been wetsanded, I just need to buff it. I will be picking up some buffing compound today and buffing it out. Teal said it helps to have it on the car when you buff it out So i might as well put it on my Sedan to buff it.

I will post up pics of the fitment when I get to the spot.

Its missing a few things However I picked it up somewhat cheap. Most of the things I need I can steal off the dead d15b7. The Engine is pretty clean overall.

I will also be throwing one of my Rebuild EX/Si Transmissions next to it to get my Sedan much more life. I/H/E wont be far behind after the swap. I will start the swap come Sunday.

I will hold off putting the bumper on Until I get the swap done.Tons of pics this Weekend. :thumb:

My Sedan and Hatch at my uncles place, Waiting to enter the shop and rip out the d15b7

Before we took the engine out we did a compression test
#1 177
#2 178
#3 178
#4 0

:lol: Probally why it runs so bad. I think its a valve or something in the head thats broken. I will look into that after I swap in my new z6.

Its almost ready to pull out atm. I have all water lines, all eletronics, tranny linkage, axles, vacum lines and the Rear Mount unhooked.

All thats remaining to do is unhook the side and front engine mounts and she should be ready to come out. I have my Chevy v8 tow hooks on her ready to hook up to my Engine Hoist to boot.

The Power Stearing Bracket from the D15b7 wouldn't fit on the z6. There was a metal peice that looked like some bracing got in the way. Since i was in a metal shop I decided that it wasn't far from a quick fix.

I will have quite a few more pics come Wedesday when I rip the engine out, swap parts over the the z6 and drop it in.

I am thing of painting my Brake Calipers, Not sure what color, Cant Decide on Black, Red or Bronze. Probably will go with black or bronze.
