so she just needed new bearing then? nothing else needed for the internals?

I bought a d16z6 and it was seized. the bearings in it where wrong. So I took my old d16z6 block w/rod knock I had sitting in my Garage left over from my coupe and put in new bearings. I robbed the z6 head off my seized paper weight z6 and put my old z6 out of my coupe back together.

I will go work on the engine Tomorrow after work, Just some small misc stuff needed to get the engine ready to drop in. One big one is wiring in VTEC.

I have some people willing to trade a Virgin p28 for my Virgin p72, I will end up swapping ECU's with someone over the weekend.

I am super pumped about getting this car back together. I am really kicking myself for not just buying a JDM D15b VTEC, even with shipping it would have been cheaper then getting this engine ready to drop in. Atleast I will have a good engine to last me next to forever with.

#132981 ahhh....that's what i thought cause i knew you had the ol' z6 hangin around from the coupe. mixing and matching works! have you tested compression or anything yet to make sure she is good to go?

i hope the wiring of VTEC goes smootly for you, i think there is plenty of info online to follow, does the p72 run a z6, i think you mentioned that is for a gsr?

i don't know much about the D15b VTEC, i know it's JDM only, but is it basically a mini-me with a b7 bottom and z6 head or is it own's hybrid with a d15 vtec head and a different bottom end? stoked to see it next weekend man! my car started this morning first time so i'm pumped

#133369 Thanks to my local Pick a Part Junk Yard I got New Parts, They Just got it a EK Sedan and a DC Integra.

Image
Got some EK Seats. The ones in the DC wear gone already. I will be installing these into my Sedan Soon.

Image
EK LX Cluster. Currently at 76258 Miles. I will be swapping this into my Sedan. I get a Tach and I get the better looking EK Dails. I have wanted to do this since I got my Hatch. Love these Gauges.

Image
DC Cruise Control Stearing wheel unit.
I Will be using controls to work an aftermarket Cruise Control Device. As long as it looks looks OEM It should be good enough.

I also picked up a replacement antena for the back of DC, it froze up last winter and broke. I have just had it all the way up and the power unhooked, I will be swapping this in later today when it cools down. Its 88F here and were use to like 55-60F

I was planning on going and working on my Sedan, however the heat zapped most of that energy and will take off tomarrow in the morning so I can get started earily before it heats up. Tons of pics tomarrow when I get home.

Where I am right now. I was going to get the engine and tranny together however I couldn't find they throw out bearing, looked all over and couldn't find it, called it a night then after cleaning up found it inside the old tranny.

I will be going back Monday after work to finish. I need to hook engine/tranny, put the tranny mount on and put it in the car, rehook wiring harness, water lines, linkage, axles, etc.

I will be driving it home Monday assuming nothing goes wrong.

Assuming Nothing goes Wrong, I will be rolling down on Sunday in my Sedan.

I have my EK Seats at my Uncles, I most likely install them before I leave my Uncles and head home. I doubt I will have the cluster installed before sunday.

#133534 awesome man :thumb: looks great, i hate looking for and losing parts....

i enjoy my EK seats in my coupe...the cluster will be kickass and i'm jealous that your junk yard has these gems, my damn local yards have no civics/integras as of last friday when i called about needing a Prop Valve

what kind/how do you hook up and aftermarket cruise control? im shocked mine still works, i can't deal with this heat man, like 100+ today, fuck that!!

This heat sucks. I cant wait for it to go away, Until then I am glad I still have an A/C Cooled Integra Parts Runner car. Its amazing what can get stuffed into the back of it, Way more then my EK Hatch. Its so the new parts runner car.

I will post up pics/details of how I hook up Cruise Control. I will have to do more work then originally though However I really really want Cruise so will make it work. However this will have to be done after the meet.

I am going to use as many OEM Cruise parts I can get and then splice the wiring into an aftermarket Cruise Control system my dad bought for a 88 Prelude Si we had back in '98. However we never installed it so its been sitting on shelfs and made 3 moves in its nice sealed box. I will fix this.

#133628 man, you get it a little easier up north, seattle-ish is generally ~10 degrees cooler but this 105 shit has to go! your lucky that your car has A/C, my parts runner has A/C but it don't work and takes R12 so i'm screwed there...

i found this article this morning that could potentially help, but maybe not since it deals with the SRS wiring for cruise that is already in the car:

i'm kinda thinking i want remote start...... :hehe:

fire that bitch up and make sure you bleed your coolant! it's gonna be a hot one

Off my Old Coupe, I got those by Traded my Knock off JDM Headlights for them, A kid just bought a HID Kit for his G/f's car and it would not fit, Asked if he wanted to trade so it would and he Went for it. Lol.

Its going to be hot as hell today, I wont be able to go work on my car either as my schedule is full until 9pm, My dad will do some small stuff and me and him will Finish her off tomorrow. Will probably still be hot as hell then too.

Plans after the swap? Swap in my EK Cluster, Swap in my EK Front Seats, Install Cruise Control, Tint Windows, Install A/C. I want to go down lower so I might be getting quality coils or new struts with adjustable sleves on them.

Why Cant you swap a Motor?
