If the springs are a lot stiffer than OEM, I'd go with the Koni's, when you can afford them. If not, especially if you race the car, you'll risk blowing out the shocks.

FWIW, I put Koni's on mine, with OEM springs (for now). The car didn't handle better...it handled like a totally DIFFERENT car! :thumb:

At full soft, it feels 10x better...sportier, more responsive...just plain better. On full firm, they help the soft OEM springs a TON and it feels like a race car! :woot:

see koni yellows FTW!! :woot:

#20801 Quality suspension can make or break a car (in more ways then one) It's never a bad idea to replace the shocks after 80-100K miles anyway. With aftermarket lowering springs it could be even less then that. Get the best shocks you can with the money you have available. You'll be glad you did, that is what determines ride quality, a lot more then the actual springs do.

For the record, Tokico HPs are basically OEM replacements. As low as your car sits, you risk blowing them too.

One other piece of advice.. Compare the sides on level ground to see if the car sits uneven..
