Im going to be using my power subframe brace, and ill write up a do it yourself for the remedy for the passenger side mount. I need to get a manual U bracket before i tackle this.

I'm very interested in seeing this part. I've also got a manual rack going in my car after I rebuild it.

haha DD it took me a minute to get that.
u prolly wouldnt like em if u seen em up close they have some curb rash, but thats what i like about them theyve got a rugged clean look. So when i go to meets n whatnot, people will say yea i bought my rims, and ill say i a decent deal on mine and completely restored them. BUILT NOT BOUGHT.
kingjmack- im only doing the write up with the subframe out, the rest is a time consuming PITA, but ill take lots of pics.

The write up will have to wait until i can find a manual U bracket, im not recomending doing it the way i have it, cause its not the right way. But i just bolted it in and used the bushing from the power rack over top of the manual racks bushing to fill in the gap from the power U bracket and bolted it down. Its all level and wont budge, i dont see how it could come out of alignment like alot of people have said on different forums from putting in a spacer, (unless the spacer somehow fell out, but even so it would fall out because of neglect putting it in or just plain stupidity). Alot of the debates on this subject sound like bs to me.
All in all if u get the manual U bracket and weld the passenger side mounting point flat on the power subframe it will be the same as a manual subframe. The differences in the two arent even debatable to me, its too simple.
If anyone can prove my last statement wrong, please do so.

ok i got a call from the company i used to work for doing the same job at a different location, im gonna call tomarrow morning for an interview. If i get this job i will be making strait bank no bs i did at my previous position with this company. If all goes well the eg8 is getting kicked into overdrive. wish me luck im in need of it.
i traded my black stealies for some dx steelies with center caps. well 3 center caps i need to score 1. and got some extra side molding with clips, center console from dx without the compartment, door seals that i needed, and misc wires for interior wire tuck since i have no carpet with no plans of putting carpet back in.
Oh yea my front end is pure white after a 12 pack and some md 20/20 with some help from my uncle and a spray gun ima pick up some clear coat tomorow to finish it off and then snap a few pics within a day or so. my ride is finally coming together i am extremely excited for the outcome.
and i changed my mind again my rims are getting powdercoated white, youll get ur pics dont worry.
WHITE ON WHITE YA DIG.
