I agree totally!
On condition that the buyer did not or could not know it was stolen when he bought it (for example; when you buy a good working part for half the price, you could have known it was stolen).

In the story one of the streetracers was accused of having a stolen transmission I believe, but he bought it from his dad who owns a carshop, receipt and everything.
If the cops try to make up something involving me, there's as big a problem for them as there will be for a thieve I encounter.
One thing I hate more than theft, is abuse of power to people who cannot do something back (since I'm a little over 6' 8" (2.05m), and my build is fairly muscular, I don't often have that problem myself).

And streetracing should be banned once and for all, it's giving younger drivers a bad name, as well as the popular cars (like Civics).

And for the crushing; if there are any stolen parts under the condition I stated before, they should be removed (for the previous owner) and then the car should be crushed (with the thief in it preferably).

considering my crx was stolen less than a month ago, most likely to be stripped for all the parts, im ok with cars being crushed for stolen parts.[list=][/list]

Seriously, they just dont know how much effort and love people have for their cars.

This just seems very wrong. I hope the burdon of proof is very high, otherwise regular speeding or maybe reckless driving cases are going to morph into racing cases. Howabout we burn down the crack houses? What about crushing the DUI cars? I noticed that all the crushed cars are hondas. Looks like all of them are clean JDM style also. I'm just worried that police profiling will result in lots of crushed Japanese cars while the Mustangs, Harleys etc slip through. Is the crushing the result of an actual law that was passed by the state, of just some local government taking themselves too seriously? From what I heard on the news, California is doing this because of a dozen deaths related to illegal street racing. A dozen in a week, month, year, 5 years?

They profile where I live too, I live in an area that has Harleys everywhere loud as can be and I get pulled over and get a warning ticket for "Modified Exhaust" as a pack of Harleys and a street rod roll by so loud I can't hear the cop talking. Then I say what about them and he tells me don't tell him how to do his job. What a D*CK!

Oh and about discrimination. I got pulled once for the same thing, having a modded car (subaru) and being tan (pakistani). I told them i'd done nothing wrong and he told me thats what everyone says! So i said to him "Shove it up your ass. Does everyone tell you that?" He didnt like it much.
